Show Us Why Access to Knowledge for All Is Important! Celebrate WSIS Plan of Action.

World Summit on the Information Society
Humankind has witnessed rapid progress. Globalization and the widespread use of new technologies have brought about sweeping changes to the way we live and work today.
One negative impact of this revolution is the inequalities and division between those who have access and those who don’t, between the rich and poor and between industrialized and developing countries.
We want you to create posters that show why access to knowledge for all is important.

Marking the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the WSIS Plan of Action, UNESCO, in cooperation with ITU, UNCTAD and UNDP, is organizing the first review meeting entitled “Towards Knowledge Societies for Peace and Sustainable Development” to be held in Paris, France, from 25 to 27 February 2013.

On this occasion, UNESCO is organizing a poster contest at eYeka online platform) until 20 September 2012. Selected entries will become the graphic identity of the event and will be used for poster, brochure, roll-up and other promotional materials.
